Through late August, the park hosts Twilight in the Park, a free outdoor concert series held Tuesday through Thursday evenings at the pavilion. San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s Elephant Valley (About 32 miles from the hotel)
For a bigger day trip, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido debuted its all-new Elephant Valley earlier this year, and it has quickly become one of the most talked-about attractions in the region. The thirteen-acre habitat lets guests walk a guided path surrounded by African savanna elephants on multiple sides, offering an up-close look at one of the park's most beloved species. The exhibit also spotlights conservation partnerships in Kenya and includes new dining options inspired by African cuisine.
