General Info

Do you allow smoking on property or in your guest rooms?

There is no smoking allowed inside the property, including in all guestrooms or on guest room patios or balconies. The Dana on Mission Bay will assess a fee of $250 to guests that choose to smoke in guest rooms.

What is the cost of on-site parking at The Dana on Mission Bay?

The cost of on-site parking at the Dana on Mission Bay is available at $29 per night.

Do you offer valet parking?

The Dana on Mission Bay does not offer valet parking. We do have overnight onsite self-parking available for $29 per night.

I have a question about my bill. Who do I call?

I left something behind during my stay. Who do I contact to help me locate it?

Do you have any electric vehicle charging stations at your hotel?

Yes, we are pleased to offer 10, level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for our guests. Our state-of-the-art charging stations are conveniently located on the West Side of our property. Whether you drive a Tesla, Nissan Leaf, BMW i3 or many others, our charging stations are compatible with a wide range of EV models. We require all charging station users to download the EVOLV EV Charging app, available on the App Store or Google Play. Tesla users will need to provide their own J1772 charging adapter, our hotel does not provide any. ADA charging spots are also available.

Reservations

How do I view or modify my reservation?

To modify your reservation, please use the booking engine link to view, modify, or cancel any reservation made online. Simply click the “My Reservations” button in the top right corner of the booking engine. For assistance with reservations made by phone, please call our hotel reservations team at 800-445-3339.

How do I change a reservation I made elsewhere?

To make changes to a reservation you made elsewhere, please contact the customer service department at the website you used to make your reservation.

What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Reservations cancelled less than 48 hours prior to arrival will be charged one night’s room plus taxes/fees.

Is there a fee if I do not show up to check in to my reservation?

If you do not show up or check in to your reservation, yes there is a fee. No show reservations are subject to one night’s room and tax.

What age do kids stay for free?

Kids 17 and under stay for free in existing bedding when accompanying an adult.

 

Do you offer Government/Military rates?

Yes we offer Government and Military rates. A valid id and copy of orders is required at check-in.

How can I pay for another person's room?

Yes, you can pay for another person’s room. We do accept 3rd party payment via credit card authorization. Please contact the front desk at 619-222-6440 to request an authorization form.

Do you charge a resort fee? If so, what is included?

As of 2024, The Dana on Mission Bay no longer requires a nightly resort fee with each reservation, and we are happy to introduce our optional “Bayside Benefits Bundle” add-on. Click here to learn more!

How can I make a group booking at The Dana on Mission Bay?

Reservations for 6 or more rooms for the same stay dates are known as a “group booking.” These typically have different rates, availability structures and deposit requirements than non-group reservations. To make a group booking, please call 866.544.2115 or email [email protected].

What is Check-In/Check-Out time?

Check-in time is from 4 pm, and check-out time is 11 AM.

Can I guarantee an early check-in or late check-out?

Early check-ins and late check-outs are based on availability and are subject to the following fees. Please contact our guest services team ahead of time to inquire or request at  619 222 6440.

Early check-in fee(s): 6am – 8:59am: $100 | 9am – 11:59am: $75 | 12pm – 2:59pm: $50

Late check-out fee(s) : Noon: Complimentary | 1pm – 1:59pm: $50 | 2pm – 3:59pm: 1/2 day’s rate | 4pm or later: Full day’s rate

 

Is my ID/passport required at check-in?

Yes, a valid government-issued picture ID is required for check-in.

Is a credit card needed at check-in?

A valid credit card and photo ID are required upon check-in.

Can you pay with cash at check-in?

No, a valid credit card is required upon check in and will be authorized for the full amount of the stay plus $50 per day for incidentals. At this time, we are not accepting cash payments at the front desk and at the restaurant.

Do you have an early departure fee?

Yes, we do have an early departure fee. A 48 hour early departure notice is required otherwise a fee of one night’s room and tax will apply.

Our Rooms

Will your rooms allow rollaways and cribs? Is there a charge?

All rooms can accommodate cribs, and they are available through the front desk free of charge. We do have a limited number of rollaways available for an additional $10 fee per night (based on availability) and these may be accommodated in select rooms.

Does The Dana on Mission Bay have connecting rooms?

The Dana on Mission Bay has a limited number of connecting rooms that can be requested before arrival, but cannot be guaranteed. Please contact our Guest Services team at 619-222-6440 for assistance.

 

Do you offer extended stay options and rates at The Dana on Mission Bay?

Yes, The dana on Mission Bay features a variety of spacious suites for comfortable family, group, or extended stay travel.

Do you have rooms with kitchens?

No we do not have rooms with kitchens, but all of our guest rooms and suites feature refrigerators, and microwaves. Deluxe Park and Bay View junior suites and suites also feature wet-bars.

Do you have accessible rooms?

I want flowers, chocolates, champagne, gifts sent to the room. How do I do this?

To get gifts sent to the room, please contact our front desk at 619-222-6440 to make arrangements, some amenities require at least 48 hour advance notice.

Does your hotel supply wheel chairs and strollers?

The Dana on Mission Bay does supply wheel chairs at no charge (limited availability, please call the front desk in advance of stay). Strollers are not available.

Is there washer/dryer accessibility within your hotel?

Yes The Dana on Mission Bay does have washer and dryers accessible at our hotel. Guests have access to onsite laundry facilities (fee).

Do you have high-speed wired and/or wireless internet access available? If so, is there a cost?

The Dana on Mission Bay provides Wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel and is available in all guest rooms. Enjoy complimentary standard WiFi during your stay at our hotel. For guests seeking enhanced connectivity for up to 4 devices, we offer an upgraded WiFi option for a fee of $14.95. The Dana on Mission Bay does have an onsite fitness center. Our on-site fitness center offers multiple treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes and a variety of weights.

Do you have a gift shop?

Yes The Dana on Mission Bay does have a gift shop. The gift and sundries shop is located in the hotel lobby.

 

Do you offer bikes for use during my stay?

Yes The Dana on Mission Bay does offer bicycles. Bicycles may be rented from Adventure Water Sports, conveniently located at The Dana Marina. Fees apply.

Do you offer on-site water sport rentals?

Yes a wide variety of sport equipment, including pedal boats, aqua cycles, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, jet skis and more may be rented from Adventure Watersports, conveniently located The Dana Marina. Fees apply.

Do you have a business center?

Yes The Dana on Mission Bay does have a business Center. Please note, the business center is temporarily closed until further notice.

Do you have a pool?

The Dana on Mission Bay has two outdoor, heated pools and Jacuzzis. The Tropical Pool, surrounded by lush landscaping, is located on the east side of the hotel in the Marina Cove section. The hotel’s Bayside Pool offers stunning bay and marina views and an infinity edge. It is located on the west side of the hotel.

Do you have activities for children?

Our hotel has a wide range of San Diego attractions for kids available including bike rentals, paddle boat & aquacycle rentals, ping pong, and two heated pools & Jacuzzis.The Dana on Mission Bay offers nightly family-friendly Dive-in Movies as well as seasonal pastimes like Ping Pong, Bocce Ball & Lawn Bowling! There are also great kids choices at the Firefly Eatery & Bar. Please note that some of these services are temporarily unavailable.

Do you have a spa on property?

No we do not have a spa at the Dana on Mission Bay. However we are happy to provide local spa recommendations.

Is there a package holding fee?

Our Package holding fee at The Dana on Mission Bay is: Two days free | 3+ days $3.00 per day for envelope, $10.00 per day for package.

Can I bring my dog to The Dana on Mission Bay?

Do you charge a pet cleaning fee?

Yes we do charge a pet cleaning fee at The Dana on Mission Bay. Up to 2 dogs per room will be allowed with no weight restriction. Pet rate is $40 per night plus tax, additional dog charge is $20 per night. For stays of 7-29 nights, an additional $100 pet cleaning fee is added. If damage occurs or excessive cleaning is needed, the hotel may charge additionally to cover the costs of repair/cleaning.
